James Curtis, the owner of Liberty Hill Investigation, LLC, is a CT State’s Attorney Police Inspector, and retired Norwich, CT Police detective who was assigned to the CT Chief State’s Attorney’s Office, Cold Case Homicide Unit. James is a U.S. Coast Guard veteran and a sworn police officer for more than 33 years, beginning with the NYPD in 1993. James is a CT Police Officer Standards and Training Council (POSTC) certified instructor #4236 with a concentration in crime scene processing, principles of investigation, and ID of suspects and witnesses.

David Lamoureux is a 1992 graduate of the University of New Haven having earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement Administration. David joined the CT State Police as a patrol trooper in 1993 and was assigned patrol duties at Troop E and Troop D as a resident trooper. David was promoted to detective in 2001, and assigned to the Criminal Investigation Unit at Troop D. In 2008, David was assigned to the Eastern District Major Crime Squad and was a lead detective in complex violent crime investigations until his retirement in 2017. David’s experience includes interview techniques, photography, sketch maps, digital media, crimes scene processing and evidence collection. David is a highly skilled and experienced criminal investigator.

Richard “Rick” Curcuro was hired as a New London, CT police officer in 2003, and promoted to detective in 2005. Rick holds and Associates Degree in Criminal Justice from Three Rivers Community College and a Bachelor’s Degree in Forensic Science from the University of New Haven. Rick was a taskforce detective assigned to the CT Chief State’s Attorney’s Office, Cold Case Homicide Unit and worked collaboratively as a taskforce detective with the ATF, FBI, and Homeland Security. Rick is a Police Officer Standards and Training Council (POSTC) certified instructor #4850 with a concentration in crime scene processing, forensic evidence collection, and emerging crimes scene technology, such as, rapid DNA, ballistics, and crime scene scanning. Rick is a skilled interviewer and experienced testifying witness.

Robert J. Blanch is a U.S. Army combat veteran of Operation Desert Shield/ Operation Desert Storm, as a member of the 82nd Airborne. Robert has more than 33 years law enforcement experience, currently serving as a patrol sergeant with the UConn Police and formerly as a Norwich, CT Police sergeant, detective, and patrol officer until his retirement in 2013. Robert served as an ATF-E task force detective from 2005, investigating violent street crimes linked to gangs and organized crime. Robert is a Police Officer Standards and Training Council POST C certified instructor, #4719, in crime scene processing, narcotic identification and handling, and evidence collection and packaging. Robert has a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Emergency Management and Homeland Security. Robert is a Master’s Degree candidate Central Connecticut State University.
